Our story
A small business from Auckland, New Zealand.
Kia Ora! My name is Savahna, founder of Slickd NZ. I started Slickd NZ from the corner of our lounge in October 2023.
After leaving school and not knowing what I wanted to do, I used my spare time amongst working full-time to build Slickd NZ. It started from a personal pain-point, my frizzy untameable hair. I love being creative so Slickd NZ started out as a creative outlet and hobby for me.
My mission is to provide natural and effective products to tame frizzy hair. It all began with our signature Hair Wax Stick after I started testing formulas in my kitchen.
A few months after starting Slickd NZ as a creative outlet, I decided to jump into my criminology degree. I stayed studying for a year after deciding that wasn't the path for me. It was a hard decision to make but if I was truly going to follow my dreams, it wouldn't be through finishing my degree. Instead, I chose to give Slickd NZ my all.
